The short version

Art 4 AU Love US is a small, independent platform. We collect the minimum information needed to run the site — and we don't sell it, share it for marketing, or do anything sneaky with it.

If you have a question about anything below, just email us: [email protected]

Section 1

Who we are

Art 4 AU Love US (art4auloveus.com) is an independent platform celebrating the creativity, voices, and lives of autistic and neurodivergent people. It's operated by D. Christmas, a sole proprietor based in Atlanta, Georgia.

When this policy says "we," "us," or "the site," that's who it means.

Section 2

What information we collect — and why

We only collect information when you choose to give it to us. Here's what that looks like on this site:

  • Email newsletter signup Your email address, if you sign up to stay in the loop. We use this to send you updates about new artists, stories, and resources. That's it.
  • Win submissions (Community page) Your win text, and — if you choose to include them — your name or handle and a photo. Name and photo are optional. We review submissions before posting anything publicly.
  • Story submissions (Community page) Your story seed text, your name, and your email. We use your email to follow up with you about your story — nothing else. Photos are optional.
  • Artwork inquiries When you click "Contact about this piece," your email app opens and you send the message directly. We receive that email like any other email — we don't log or store it beyond normal email handling.

We don't require you to create an account to use this site. We don't collect payment information — all purchases are made directly between buyers and artists.

Section 3

Third-party services the site uses

This site uses a few outside services to function. Here's what they are and what they do:

  • Netlify (site hosting) The site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify logs basic server information — IP addresses, browser type, pages visited — as part of normal hosting operations. See Netlify's privacy policy for details.
  • Google Fonts The site loads fonts (Bricolage Grotesque, Fraunces, Inter) from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, Google may log your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Tabler Icons (CDN) Icons on the site load from a content delivery network (jsDelivr). This may log your IP as part of serving the files.
  • Cloudflare (DNS and email routing) Our domain and email forwarding run through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may log connection data as part of normal operations. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other advertising or tracking tools on this site.

Section 4

Cookies

This site does not set its own cookies. The third-party services listed above (Google Fonts, Netlify, Cloudflare) may set cookies or use local storage as part of their own operations — we don't control that.

We don't use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or tracking you across other websites.

Section 5

How we use your information

We use the information you give us only for the reason you gave it:

  • Your email (newsletter) To send you updates about the site. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Your win or story submission To review it and, if appropriate, feature it on the site. We'll contact you at the email you provided if we want to discuss your story further.
  • Your inquiry email To respond to you or connect you with the artist.

We don't sell your information. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use it to build profiles about you.

Section 6

How long we keep your information

We keep your information only as long as it's useful for the purpose you gave it:

  • Newsletter subscribers Until you unsubscribe, at which point your email is removed from the list.
  • Community submissions Submissions we don't feature are deleted within a reasonable time. Submissions we do feature stay on the site unless you ask us to remove them.
  • Emails you send us Retained in our email inbox for normal operational reasons. We don't archive or export them for other purposes.

Section 7

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • See what we have We'll tell you what information we have about you and where it came from.
  • Correct it If something we have about you is wrong, we'll fix it.
  • Delete it If you want us to remove your information — including a submission you shared — just ask. We'll do it.
  • Unsubscribe Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly to be removed.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We'll respond within a reasonable time — typically within two weeks.

Section 8

Children's privacy

Art 4 AU Love US celebrates autistic and neurodivergent creators of all ages, including children. However, we don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

If a parent or caregiver submits content on behalf of a child (like a win or a piece of artwork), the parent or caregiver is the one providing that information — not the child directly.

If you believe we've inadvertently received personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, please contact us and we'll remove it promptly.

Section 9

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, if the changes are significant, note them here. We won't use your information in a new way without giving you a heads up first.

The most current version of this policy always lives at art4auloveus.com/privacy.html.
